Crazy weather hits area at around 5:25 p.m.

Well, if you were out of the area earlier tonight, you really missed some menacing-looking skies over Kearny, Harrison, East Newark and the surrounding environs. I just happened to bring my camera into work today (in Newark) and grabbed these weather shots. There had been a tornado warning—but I think we safely escaped without one touching down. Hope you enjoy the shots.

Sources say Harrison expected to add new streets to Redevelopment Zone

When the Harrison Town Council meets Monday at 12:15 p.m., they're expected to add new streets to the town's Redevelopment Zone, according to source. While we're unsure precisely which streets will be added, we will be sure to inform you as soon as the information becomes available.

Special lunchtime meeting in Harrison: Bring sandwich, soda

HARRISON — If you're interested in going to the next (special) meeting of the Town Council, you'll have to do it on your lunch hour. Bring a bagged lunch to the Harrison Town Hall for a meeting Monday, June 30 at 12:15 p.m. It's not immediately clear what will be discussed and/or voted on at the meeting, but as soon as we find out, we'll let you know.

May Crowning is May 27 at K of C 402 in Harrison

Our Lady of Grace Council 402, of the Knights of Columbus will be hosting its annual May Crowning Tuesday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m. in front of the council chambers at 14-16 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. North.
