EXCITED FOR FIRST SPRING IN PORT ST. LUCIE

I must admit -- I am starting to get a little excited about my first Spring Training with the New York Mets as a resident of Port St. Lucie, Fla. Yes, indeed, this is not going to be the best season for the Mets. In fact, it might just be one of the worst upcoming seasons.

But from what I've been told, it's pretty awesome bumping into players at random places -- like Publix or Starbucks.

I'll have some coverage here -- and I will also be contributing to my favourite Mets-related website, www.MetsPolice.com -- once the players begin to arrive in a few weeks. So there will be plenty to get to in the coming weeks. Should be fun.
