United Irish hosting 'Halfway Picnic'

The United Irish Associations of West Hudson, Inc., the sponsors of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, will host its annual “Halfway To St. Patrick’s Day Family Picnic” Saturday, Sept. 20, at Riverbank Park in Kearny from 1 to 7 p.m..

The picnic will feature plenty of food and beverages, games for children, and lots of family fun.  You must be 21 to consume alcoholic beverages.

Honorees for the 2009 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will also be announced at the picnic.

There will be no tickets sold prior to the event.  All tickets must be bought upon arrival at the picnic.  Admission prices are:  Age 21 and older: $25; Ages 12-21: $15; 12 and younger: free (all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
