A Belleville police officer was killed and another is in hospital after the cruiser they were driving in lost control and struck a utility pole in Nutley, the Star-Ledger is reporting today.The officer who died is identified as Kenneth Santucci, 33, of Nutley. His partner, who Melissa Corrado, 28, was treated at Mountainside Hospital and released.
The Star-Ledger says the two were responding to a call near the Nutley-Belleville border at around 8 this morning.
